Do you run a credit check on me when I apply for a loan?
We will run a credit check on you to verify the information on your application and to determine how much we will lend to you. If you have a less than perfect credit score there is no need to be put off as we determine every application individually. We follow responsible lending practices to ensure that we only lend amounts that can be repaid without causing financial hardship.
Making repayments on time
You should only take out a loan if you can afford to repay it to the terms set out in the agreement and do so in a sustainable manner It is important that we collect your payments from you on time so to avoid you from falling into arrears. Paying your repayments on time will increase your chances of borrowing in the future and this could improve your credit rating.
What to do if I cant make a scheduled payment?
We understand that your financial circumstances may change at an instant and that sometimes you may not be able to make the full payment. If this is the case you must contact your agent or ring our office. No charge is made for missed payments however, if you are frequently paying less than the repayment amount your account will go into arrears and this could affect your chances of further credit. If you are experiencing financial difficulty contact your agent and they will be able to arrange a more manageable repayment plan.
Fees and Interest Charge
There are no fees when you apply for one of our personal loans and there are no fees for late or missed payments. Our interest is fixed which means that your repayments will not go up. For this reason you will know exactly what you need to pay back each week.
Paying your loan back early
There is no fee for paying off your loan early. You may be entitled to a rebate depending on how early you settled your loan. Ask your agent or contact our office and our customer service team will be able to give you this information.
Applying for an additional loan
If you wish to take out another loan then you should contact your agent. A decision will be made based on how long you have been a customer, how well you have been paying your existing loan and your credit worthiness.
Changing my payment method
Our payment options include Home Collection, Debit/Credit Card, and Standing Order Arrangement. If you wish to change your payment method then talk to your agent or contact a member of our Customer Service team.
